Private Orthopedic Practice Closing

It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you that my private orthopedic practice will be closing on September 30, 2025. Unfortunately, ongoing challenges with insurance companies-including delayed or denied reimbursements and increasingly burdensome approval processes-along with continuously increasing costs, have made it unsustainable to continue operating independently. This has been an incredibly difficult decision. For over 40 years, it has been a profound honor to care for my patients, and I would not choose to step away under different circumstances.

As a result, I will not be able to provide ongoing care or prescription renewals after that date through Desert Orthopedic Specialists. You will need to find a new Orthopedic provider or contact your primary care physician for a refill request.

If you would like a copy of your medical records, a copy of our records release from can be found on the upper right corner of our home page. It should be completed and signed and returned to us at info@desertorthoaz.com. Once received it can take up to 30 days for us to complete your request.

On a bright note, I am looking forward to joining the wonderful team of Wickenburg Community Hospital in January of 2026! While final details are still in the works, we are hoping to kick off 2026 with a new location for me to keep providing the excellent care you have become used to! I know it may be a trek for some of you, but I would be honored to see you follow me on this new journey in Wickenburg, AZ. As more details become available, we will update this web-page with more information including where you can call to schedule with me directly.
